Missing voice

Has anyone else with Stage IV lost their voice due to EC? The tumor in my Dad's esophagus is pressing against his vocal chord. Just wondering if anyone has encountered this... or come back from it? On top of the hand-foot syndrome he is having because of the chemo, losing his voice, and dealing with all the pills he's having difficulty swallowing, he's pretty down. Just looking for something to say to lift his spirit.
Thanks.
Thanks.
