I was thinking that myself. Do you know if the hot weather can make it worse? Dad was out in the heat the other day, it seemed like this happened last summer.

Like Pat mentioned, I would be highly inclined to believe it's not cancer related.
Whenever you have any doubts or concerns, you should always be able to check in with your ENT as a confidense booster if nothing else.
