My surgery for the spot on my tounge went well..heck what do I know I was out like a light...but what the ENT said to me prior was that the sight was small so thats why it didn't show on the PET I had on June 6th and that was a good thing. What he told my friend that went with me while I was in recovery everything looked good, he took some intial slices that went to pathology , that report came back so he took some more , really a bigger (for the lack of a better word) area than what he thought at first, but the margins are clean. I have stitches , great pain meds and antibiotics and he will see me in 2 weeks. I see my onco next wed,she will have a copy of the pathology report..so will have to wait a week for the final outcome, but I know if she sees something that needs taken care of she will call me before that, lets hope not but if there is additional tx so be it.
