    Hi Jim,
Thanks for sharing...sure made me stop and think about a few things. All of my kids and grands are healthy...so much to be grateful for. God bless us all...young, old and in between that have cancer. Gotta keep the faith and HOPE going! Sue

    To be strong
    Dear Jim,

Thank you for the video and keeping all of us in check.

Somehow, children and animals fair so much better than the adults. It just seems
they do so well, no matter their disability and what they have to endure.

    Love Maggie

    Children are resilient
    Hi Maggie,

I agree - children are very resilient and inspiring.
It's so much easier for them to find "fun" in the most challenging
circumstances. They automatically know how to "lighten the load".
We can learn from that I think.

    Hugs,

    Jim

    Thanks for all the comments.
Thanks for all the comments. Evidently this video went "viral" after
Kelly Clarkson twittered about it and even sent a supportive and thankful
message to the participants in response.

I was having dinner with friends at a local restaurant a day or so after I posted this
and I noticed a little girl (probably about 9 years old) who had obviously
been through chemo (we know the look don't we?). She was just being a normal
child, laughing and "cutting up" with her family.

I thought of the video. I thought of my sister who passed recently. I thought of me and my cancer experience. I could feel the tears damming up behind my cheeks. Part of me
wanted to go over and give the little girl a big hug and show her my port and my driver's license picture - renewed shortly after finising chemo (bald bald bald).

I decided "no - they're taking a break from cancer". I took another bite of my spinach quesadilla and staved off the tears. Maybe I should have ordered a margarita instead of tea :).

    So sweet
    Hi Jim,

Yes, you are so sweet and emotional. They say men are not as emotional as women. Who
    ever said that is wrong.

Is there a reason you didn't have a margarita with your dinner? I certainly am not a
drinker. But, I'll be damned if I don't have a drink while dining out. It just comes
naturally for me. I wouldn't care if I was on Rituxan, or chemo. I am so bad. I am
on Paxil, and found I never had a problem having one drink only. I never get drunk.
I have to admit I love the buzz. Since I am not a drinker, the one drink hits me
right away. My husband used to say, I would be a cheap date. One drink, and do what
you want with me. Only kidding of course.

Stay strong, and dream for tomorrow. Maggie

    Good morning Maggie,
You sound like me..one beer or just a glass of wine and I'm wobbly..ha! Never could drink very much, so I didn't experience many hangovers..(thank goodness)! Every so often I like to have a "red beer" ...beer mixed with tomato juice. Have a good day sweet Maggie...Love ya...Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)

    Margaritaville ;)
Actually, I haven't drank much since chemo. I will ocasionally
have a beer or glass of wine. I could tell you some stories from back in
    my party days ;).

I love margaritas (on the rocks with salt).

    Hugs to you guys.

    Not a drinker either
I really do not drink at all. Never had any desire too drink. Now when I was a teenager, well now that was different. Me and the guys would sit on the railroad tracks get drunk as fools off the country club or Colt 45 malts. Then we'd lie our **** off about any and everything we every did. We even had cards saying we were 21 years old when we were only 17 and go to the bars on Thursday nights. We would lie about the time we spent in the war(never been out of our small town except on field trips at school). Those were the Good Ole Days, but so long ago. John

    Cutie Pie
    Hi John,

I also meant to comment on your new picture. If you don't mind, what is her name and how
    old is she?

You must of been a wild one in your youth. Don't you wonder sometimes how you survived
    it all?

    Enjoy your weekend. Love Maggie
