Thanks for checking in on me
Thanks for checking in on me TC! Well, I've been better. I ended up being in the hospital for a week because I developed an ileus which finally resolved so my system has been slow in getting started. I did have a little bowel action in the hospital but not much.
Yesterday and today have been pretty rough, clustering with constipation, which means stool sits in the ring of fire and won't come out while my colon contracts. The good news in all of this is that the prune juice I drank last night finally had some effect on me and at least I can get the stool out now. You'd think for all that work, you'd get bigger results. I've been going all day. The nurse said to continue the prune juice so hopefully that will keep things moving.
I'm supposed to be on a soft GI diet for 4-6 weeks. The foods are constipating. I wonder if anyone else has had this type of problem. I know so many people have diarrhea and I don't doubt my day will come for that too but for now this is where things are.
Hope that's not TMI. It is my life right now. You and others help me to know it's a long haul but doable.
Thanks,

Sorry it's not going a little better, Laura. Also, had been wondering about you.
No experience here to help. I'm pretty good at praying.....so will do that tonight when all is quiet.0 -

Things will get better, but it takes time, and there are many days in the beginning where it is "all or nothing."
Plain, unsweetened yogurt helped me. I like the Fage brand for its taste and high protein count.
Enjoy sleeping on your right side, left side and stomach
Hugs,
