Just got biopsy results...
Both the onc and the surgeon are saying no surgery to remove it. There really isn't much tissue there so it would be difficult to get clear margins. And they both worry that (like my previous re-excision) it won't heal and I'll just have a bigger hole in my chest.
My onc wants me to continue the chemo break till the end of June. It will give the biopsy time to heal and give me time to get stronger before starting another chemo. We'll do another CT scan then too. The CT scan will determine how quickly I start chemo again. The onc is suggesting navelbine next. I haven't done any research on that yet, all I know at this point is that it would be weekly.
And the roller coaster takes another turn...
Hugs,
Linda

... ohhhhh dear sweet Linda --- I am so so sorry,
I am sitting next to you -- holding on to you as your body floats on and off out of
your seat ... here on the roller coaster. My grip is tight, so don't fear.
You are so Courageous, steadfast in your faith, and committed to seeing your son,
and daughter graduate college. Nothing, or no one will stop YOU.
Go forth, and kick the the living daylights out of the beast.
Strength, Courage and HOPE that the beast leaves your body, once and for all!

You are always so encouraging and uplifting to so many people on this board, including me. One of the only ways I may be able to help you is to keep you in my prayers, and I will do that, Linda.
I ask everyone with whom I speak to please, please keep funding the research that is so important to find a cure for this horrible disease.
Keep on keeping on, sweetheart.

so sorry
I'm so sorry to hear this news. I can imagine how deflated you must be feeling right now after all that you have endured. I join my sisters in circling you with love and prayers. We are all so angry at this monster within attacking you again! Would that we could arm ourselves like the knights of old and fight it courageously with armor and swords and fierce battle cries on your behalf! (and a few cuss words thrown in for good measure!) And all we can do is cry with you...
Love you sister,

I add my thoughts and
Linda,
I add my thoughts and prayers to those expressed by everyone. I think the world of you and admire your spirit so much. One of the most insidious things about this disease is that it can be marching through your body even as you look so fabulous on the outside. At lunch last week you looked wonderful; I couldn't imagine that the biopsy would be positive.
Please let me know if there is something I can do to help.

Wow Linda~ are you loved and thought highly of here? YES!! We kindreds are a tight knit bunch and pray for one another, send good thoughts and wishes thru the web and thru the sky!! Hoping that the break will bring rest and relief as the other sisters have mentioned, and that you will grow stronger.
