Wish I could help, but I
Wish I could help, but I have not taken this drug. Did the taxol/carboplatin not do all it was susposed to do? Just curious, since my mother is a 26 year surviver of breast cancer and she never did chemo or radiation, just surgery and five years of Tamoxifen with absolutely no side affects. Let us know how you are doing. Best, debrajo0 -
I'm sorry you're having side
I'm sorry you're having side effects. From what I do know about the drug, you should mention the swelling to your doc (which I'm sure you will anyway), since it's a more uncommon side effect.
My oncologist has mentioned Tamoxifen for me, but so far we're just watching and waiting. How did you decide on Aromasin?0 -

I tried Femara first, but had a reaction to it and had to stop taking it. So, my oncologist switched me to Aromasin. I just found out today that my CA 125 is down from 32 to 24 this week, so that is great news. The Aromasin is supposed to help keep any tumors from growing. I did talk to her about the swelling and she is taking me off the drug for a month to see if the swelling is related, so we'll see how it goes.0 -

I took this for my recurrance, but unfortunately it didn't do the job for me. I'm so happy it's doing it's job for you.
