fsh high for a man - anyone experience this?

My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer 3 years ago - had a resection and 5-FU on and off - with good results. Now there are "hot" spots in lung and tumors on omentum. So he is going back on chemo with plastin added.
His FSH was 27.8 (norl 1.6 - 8.0). Not sure of significance of that - but he is going to see an endocrinologist soon. Anyone other male who has high FSH? He is 79.
