Same Plight
Hi Nita,
I am sorry to hear your diagnosis. I said the same thing “I am only 55, I don’t drink or smoke, how could I have cancer”, but I do. I had surgery to remove a spot from my tongue and the results were good. Matter-of-fact, in all honesty, I could barely tell something had been done. Hopefully, your tongue surgery will be as OK as mine was. Also, I had surgery on my neck to remove one enlarged lymph node (3 cm) which required the dissection of my Jugular Vein which the tumor had grown around. This all happened on November 15, 2011 and today except for a little numbness I can not even tell it was done; you can’t even see the scar (truthfully). Also, I bought stock in the Kleenex Company and expect to retire rich from all my tears.
Stay strong and hopeful,
Matt0
