I went to my mail box to find a small package from our New Flower. She and I both have lymphedema and she sent me a wonderful decorative sleeve to wear over my arm when it is wrapped or over my pressure sleeve to make it more decorative. I LOVE IT... I have posted a photo of it on the expressions gallery, THANK YOU New Flower for thinking of me!

    I think
    our New Flower is an undiscovered gem. She very quietly keeps in touch with people and does good deeds, never seeking attention, just takes care of us. I'm lucky to have met her and be able to say she is a friend.

    Rena, I am glad you like it. Lymphedema is not a picnic, let's have a little fun with it.
    Rena, Victoria, Ines and Terry thank you for your kind words. You guys made my day as I have been a little down after seeing my oncologist today. She is a really nice doctor and listens to me, however there is something about oncology clinic that make me sad, you know and understand ... I have to repeat blood test within 1 months

    I have been looking at some of those sleves but have yet to get measured for my first sleve. I like that we have a way of making them a fashion statement.

    How sweet of her to send that to you. Where do you get decorative sleeves? I'm dealing with bad lymphadema and right now they are just wrapping my arm to try to get some of the swelling down then I'll get a sleeve. My heart goes out to you both b/c I know first hand that this lymphadema business is horrible and just makes you feel sick all over. I hope you both are doing ok.

    To Lymphedema ladies and my friends
    Lymphedema Ladies,
    I am sure you all tired of pity looks when you are in wraps/bandages and non-stop questions related to what happened to you arm and hand. The Rena’s picture is showing a tattoo sleeve, a very thin nylon sleeve to keep you cool and protect from UV, which I am wearing over my regular compression sleeve for fun. It also can be worn over wraps if it not too snug narrow tight for you r arm. If you are interested, please PM me, I will check them outfor you.


    As for my recent blood work/oncologist visit - surprisingly my tumor markers came back on the high end of acceptable range. My oncologist thinks it is nothing, however, it had never happened previously since Dec 2008. We are going to repeat in June and if you do not like what we will schedule CT PET. For now, I am keeping myself occupied and busy.
