Dang !!!!
Vinny,
Really feel bad about your dad. Hopefully the chemo is all he will need. There are several people where I go for my treatments that are there for lung cancer. They seems to be responding well. I do not know what type they are being treated for. I believe there are several types of it. The good news is yours has not flared up. I know you wish it was completely gone, but at least it is staying the same. I wonder how long it will be before they come out with the cure for this crap. I will be thinking of you and your dad. Keep us updated about him and let us know what the treatment plan is. John0 -
Vinny handstands
Hi Vinny,
Thanks for sharing and it is indeed mixed news and I know it's
not easy for you. I've had so many mixed emotions since my sister
passed - it is finally starting to get better. I'm so sorry to hear
about your father. You are both in my thoughts.
You know how "happy dance" crazy I am . I found something in
honor of your good news and in honor of my sister too.
At one time she was very involved in animal rescue (dogs) and
I came across this clip. It's a little long but cool.
You might want to show it to your wife and ask her if her "Vinny" is
trained this well .
I hope you don't find this inappropriate. So, this is for
Wanda (my sister) and for you:
"Vinny" is learning to do handstands ☺
Big hugs to you, sir.

Good news bad news
Hi Vinny,
So sorry to read about your Dad. In terms of age, he is still young. Hopefully he will be able to receive tx that results in NED. Last year I posted about our dear family friend who was dx with lung cancer at age 84. She was told nothing can be done due to her age, so she got another opinion and had chemo and rads. She did very well, except for some fatigue. She is now NED and has just had a hip replacement a few weeks ago. Age is only a number. Positive thoughts for your Dad and whatever tx he goes for.
Your news, although concerning, is still good news. I know you must be a bit worried about the hip bone, glad that you will be followed closely. Try to focus on all the positive that you have from the scan.
As you and I know, cancer can be tough and has many challenges along the way. But we are stronger because of this. Your posts have shown how strong you are, so hang in there.
Maybe you and Lisa can do the vegatable garden together. My hubby has helped me in the garden so much and I always thought he had no interest in any type of gardening.....
I'll be waiting for your summer bounty photos.
Take care my friend, all positive thoughts for you and your Dad,

Double dang...
Hey Vinny,
So sorry about your dad. I have a good friend,(past co-worker) who is 76 and has had 3 recurrance's with her lung cancer over the last 10 years. Each time she was devastated by the news, but with each recurrance she was able to receive treatment and is still hanging in there living a good life. I will pray the same goes for your dear father. As far as your news...it's ok....you will deal with it and not spend any more time than necessary wondering "when" the cancer will flare up again. Until it does,(and maybe it won't), just continue to be the same wonderful Vinny we have all grown to love and respect! You are one amazing strong dude who has given me inspiration on many occassions to not allow the "dark side" of cancer to bring me down! Remember all the times you told me.."attitude, attitude, attitude?!!!"..."think positive?"..."enjoy each day?"! There was a time when your blood counts were so dang low that you thought,(and me too), that there was no way you were going to get better...but YOU DID! You fought through it and made it buddy! There is always a chance our cancer will come back, but remember..."One day at a time", and "LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST EVERY DAY"!!!! Put that garden in... continue to cook those yummy meals you like to fix while Lisa is at work, and take those mini trips to your favorite fishing spot with Lisa and your family. NO WAY will we let the worry of our cancer coming back rob us from one single day of enjoying life! We are survivors Vinny...and survive we will!!! Hang in there dear friend, and as always, you and your dad will be at the top of my prayer list. Hug Lisa for me and NO MORE worrying...ok? We got your back buddy!
Love ya...Sue0 -

The whole vegetable garden thing is an inside joke between my wife and I, I tend to go big, she calls it a small size farm!!! Thanks so much for all the kind words, I'm a fighter, you all know that, just sometimes this stuff just wears ya down, but I will always stay positive...... I will post some picks of last years garden! thanks again guys you are all truly good friends! Vinny0
