acid reflux
i got diagnosed with colon cancer a year next month and it's been a little over three months ago that i finished my chemo. I too have a problem with acid reflux. i take the pepcid acid but i'm concern with taking too much meds for my body already. As an alternative, I am taking a quarter of a cup of aloe vera gel. I take it the first thing in the morning and everytime i feel it. just be sure that you don't eat much food that is too oily, no carbonated drink, no chocolate of any kind. Hope it helps out to you.....;)

Yes I do!!!!
Oh my mine has gotten so bad. I did finally go to a gastro doctor and am scheduled to get scoped. I was taking prilosec, zantac 150 AND tums and it was still bad. The gastro doc put me on a script called Dexilant. It has worked wonders! Get scoped in a couple of weeks.
Unfortunately acid reflux is one of the symptoms of ovarian cancer, then I found out at some point after one of my scans that I also have a Hiatal Hernia. Now I am on Doxil and one of its side effects is - you guessed it - acid reflux! So I have what I refer to as the Super Trifecta! LOL!
If you haven't tried one of the over the counter daily pills I would start there. Then if that doesn't settle things down you might want to look into a gastro doctor. My onc sent me when I complained. He was just like we need to get that checked out - don't need any more problems. I was thinking - great another doctor, another procedure etc - LOL!

Stoppped chemo in August ,have had acid reflux since then. Have taken 6 different pills , gone to three doctors and still no help. Had many tests. Am going to a specialist in three weeks.. My onc does not like to think that it was caused by chemo so I am relived to see that i am not the only one. Have lost 25 pounds becuse it is a chore to eat. Did not think I would ever say that...

My Mom also had a lot of trouble with acid reflux. We tried everything under the sun, the only thing that finally relieved it was a shot we were able to give her whenever she needed it. Perhaps you could look into it.Kellyh33 do you know what kind of shot they gave your mother. I also have tried everything under the sun andnothing is working.. Thankis
