Vulvar Cancer?

Hi all!
I am new to the group and am looking for information while awaiting my biopsy results. Below is my situation (sorry for the long post)!!!
I am 50 years old and have smoked for 30+ years until 7 weeks ago when I was put on oxygen at night for my emphysema. I was just getting over a bad case of pneumonia that lasted 3 months when I finally woke up and realized that I had no choice but to stop smoking immediately!! I also suffer with fibromyalgia, piriformis syndrome, spinal arthritis, neuropathy and chronic myofascial pain syndrome. To sum it up.. I'm not in the best shape these days.
Back to the issue at hand: About 6 weeks ago I started getting a very slight discharge along with a lot of itching. I haven't had a yeast infection in over 10 years but figured it might be just that since I had been on steroids for the Pneumonia so I just bought some Vagasil and figured I would just wait and see. Well... next I started experiencing severe pain in my clitoris!! It was so engorged that it hurt at the mere touch. That lasted a couple of days then I noticed I had the paper cuts down both sides of the labia as well as another in the clit area. Next came a few small blisters on the left side in a cluster all the while the itching became more intense so I finally broke down and made an appointment with my GYNO. I actually ended up seeing the NP instead but that was okay since I usually see her for my anual paps. I went in the next day and told her all my symptoms but the sores had already disappeared so she said she felt it was just a yeast infection and took a sample and tested it right there and confirmed that I had a slight yeast infection and felt the rawness was due to scratching so away I went with a precription for 1 little pill to kill the infection. After taking it I felt better for about 2 days then it all came back 4 times worse so back I went..... This time she did see the sores and said she suspected it was herpes!! I was quite shocked since I have never had any outbreaks in the past and haven't been sexually active for the past 3 years due to my pain issues. Of course she told me it could have been dormant for years so she swabbed the sore and also took blood to test for the virus. This time she sent me with medication for herpes as well as an antibiotic and another med for the yeast. About 5 days later she called to say that the sore was inconclusive but the blood test did show I had been exposed to the virus so to continue the 10 days worth of meds and if I was not better she would have me come back and see my actual doctor for a biopsy. Well nothing got better infact it only got worse! I now had sores on both sides and the itching never stopped so next came the biopsy (OUCH) she couldn't get me numb enough so I pretty much felt the whole thing!! The doctor said it would take a week to get the results back but other than that I couldn't get her to say what she thinks it is but she sent me home with 5 more doses of Diflucan (for the supposed yeast infection) In the meantime I have now developed actual lumps on both sides where the sores use to be, major swelling and of course the itch is as maddening as ever! It was only after my reading about my symptoms that I have come to believe it could be Vulvar Cancer. I had a total Hysterectomy 10 years ago due to many years of cervical dysplasia resulting in cryosurgery and conization, loss of my ovaries due to benign cysts and finally endometryosis.
Sorry again for the long post but if anyone has or has had any symptoms like I've described I would love to hear your stories or ideas as to what I may be dealing with. I would so appreciate it.
Thanks for listening!!
