Unbelievable, first a cough, now hiatal hernia, really? I would have never guessed except since my surgery I have noticed heartburn more than normal but blow it off. Now, I woke up in the middle of the night with pain in lung (the one that had surgery on it)sharp pains when breathe or move the wrong way. Does the Nexium help? Did the coughing stop?
I don't know about the body parts but it is sure looking like an idea for the future. LOL
Oh, I don't have a cough, just pain out of nowhere in the back.0 -

The 40mg of nexium helps, but that depends on what I eat! lol. I had a pain after surgery from my back that felt like it went right through my body. Did you have your's VATS? If so you might need to tell the surgeon about it of your oncologist. To answer your question, no the cough has not stopped...coughing for 4 months is getting old. I go today to me regular doctor, nothing to do with the cancer. But I want her to look at all the blood work, help me find out about the leg cramps and maybe she has other ideals about the cough. We will see. I m after 4 years starting to really loose faith in the medical profession. Where I live we are to have one of the best too! Anyway, glad you are up somewhat...are you doing breathing exercise and walking? You need to it does help!
Take care and talk to you soon.

When I get into a bad coughing spell, I do sneeze.....but the pain from it. The shooting pain you get is exactly what I get. The nerve block did not help it. I go to lung doctor Friday. I am fed up with this dang cough....I want something done!0 -

Has either of you tried Tessalon Perls for your cough? They are by prescription only and many find they work very well. Ellen glad you changed docs maybe Arlekim you should consider changing too. My best to you both.

Yes, I have tried the perils, robatussin with codine, and another type with stronger codine. Nothing has stopped the cough. My Dr. is doing a brochescope next week to see if he can find anything.
