Coming up on 1 year from diagnosis
I am Blessed

Well on May 13 (which by the way this was Friday the 13th) it will be a year since my diagnosis os SCC of a knot in my neck with unknown primary and I feel a flood of emotions. Even though I don't post much I go to this site almost every day to check on everybody. I haven't met any of you but yet I feel connected to each and every one of you. I think I have adjusted now to the new normal as we call it. Some things have changed and are still improving every day. I have been blessed to talk with others who are going through this same rough treatment and it kinda gives you a lift to think maybe you are a veteran from a war that you have been through. I have slowed my life down and enjoy each day now more than ever. We just had Relay for Life in my hometown and it amazed me how many survivors there are out there. I was glad to be part of that elite group. I go for my pet scan on Tuesday May 1 and of course the anxiety has set in but will try to keep busy till it's over. Just want to say thank you to everyone who takes the time to post on this site to help others get through the rough times and give hope to those just diagnosed. Please pray for me on the 1st that we will get a NED as I will pray for each one of you every day.
Have a Blessed Day
