I know you are in a rough place right now. I am praying for you and thinking of you frequently during each day. You're almost there. It will get better I promise, just 1 day, 1 hour at a time.

I care, big hugs!

Randy

    Thanks you guys
I haven't picked up my computer in a while I know this is tough but it helps knowing you are praying, this is my update I finally got well enough to start back radiation I have 4days left and I will be through, having a time with my bottom but with 4to go I guess I can get through it. My doctor said that the chemo. Just was hard on me I still am taking zofran for nausea, pain pills every 6 hrs, I sure am afraid of those things but better to take than hurt, I also take ativan I'm a little high strung is what my doctor says, I think he is right because they help. Prayer is so powerful I have learned this, hopefully it won't be long now I need my life back bed is getting boring. I'm praying for all of your recovery being healing within or whatever is on your plate. Love for now. Denise

    Hi Denise!
It's good to get an update from you. I know you are in the worst part of this right now, but you can do this, I know you can! I'm glad you are taking the meds and I don't think you'll have problems getting off of them when your healing has come along far enough. There is no need to suffer, so please don't! We are saying many prayers for you and can't wait to welcome you to the other side of this--only 4 more days!

    one at a time
    Denise,

Know that you are in the midst of the storm and you will come through the other side. Give your self the time and don't expect to start feeling better when radiation ends. Each of us is different and if you start expecting to feel better and then you aren't you'll make yourself feel worse. Take each day as it comes and focus only on that day and that day only. It is great that there are others that know exactly what you are going through and can shine that light for you to see. Do you see mine, I am shining it at you!

    Hugs,
    Joanne

    You're almost there!
You can see the light at the end of the tunnel. You are almost there, Denise! I so believe in the power of prayer and I am praying hard for you as you face the end of treatment. The pain medicine is your friend right now, so don't hesitate to keep yourself as pain-free as possible. You will get through this, one minute at a time, if necessary. The radiation burn will continue just a few days after treatment (mine peaked on about the 7th day after treatment ended), then I bet your quickness in healing will surprise you after that.

Many blessings to you as enter the final leg of this journey.

    Almost there!
    Denise,

I was so happy to log in today and see you had been able to respond! Only 4 more to go, I know when I had 3 left I thought about asking for a break in treatment but decided I just wanted it done so I plowed through, well not really plowed more like limped but I am so glad I did. It was rough for 9 days after treatment stopped, but I used the dilaudid and spent alot of time sleeping. On day 10 I woke up and my butt wasnt as painful at all and then it just all healed very quickly.

Do you have open areas from the burns, are you using silvadene cream? If not ask your MD about it, it really helped me.

I am with you in spirit Denise and praying everyday for you, youre almost there, hang on!!!
    It will get better!

Thanks for updating us. Hugs your way.
