Complex Nodule

Hello People
I am wandering the halls of CSN and came upon this group. I just got the report from my ultrasound and have a question to ask.
The report says "complex nodule with presence of vascularity in the mid pole measuring 1.3 x 0.8 x 1.1 cm" It goes on to say perithyroidal soft tissues are normal. Isthmus "presence of vascularity within nodule measuring 1.2 x 0.5 x 1.1 cm.
I read that complex is not a good diagnosis...meaning the chance of cancer is real. I also read that vascularity can be of concern.
SO ... I ask if there is anyone here that has had a report like this. And if so, what was your outcome?
I would like to say that the thought of cancer is very scary to me. I was diagnosed with Stage II breas cancer just 8 months ago. My fear is warranted I think. Or is it?
Thank you and God Bless.

Complex Nodule
I am so sorry you are going through this after dealing with breast cancer. I am not an expert in reading reports but I know that the "presence of vascularity" refers to the nodule having blood flow. The reason blood flow is of concern is the risk of bleeding upon removal and the blood flow increases the growth of the cells. I did not personally have vascularity in my nodules. My Thyroid nodule was caught very early. I palpated it myself and insisted on testing due to my Medical background (I know enough to be dangerous).
Please keep me posted on your diagnosis and progress. I will keep you in my prayers. We don't have a Pink bus here but I will paint one in blue, teal and pink for you and we will ride it together.
Blessings,
Julie-SunnyAZ0
