Non-small cell squamous carcinoma

I February, my husband was diagnosed with non-small cell squamous carcinoma in the upper lobe of the left lung and the bronchial tube. The tumor showed up on all of the xrays, CT scans, Pet scan, etc but was gone the day of the 2nd biopsy done at Sloan Kettering. The doctor is baffled and a team of doctors are reviewing the information. Does anyone out there know of anyone with a similar experience? We are afraid of what may have happened to the tumor. They say it could not break or move. But, they were not sure what it was until yesterday when the test results were all in.

Also, has anyone had experience with an upper lobe removal of the left lung utilizing the VATS? Is this possible?

    That is incredible. Wierd, maybe a miracle, who knows, but I am sure he will continue to go for these tests weekly, monthly to make sure. Never heard of it. Maybe all the prayers worked.
    Let me know how it all turned out.
    How is Sloan Kettering, do you advise going there?
