Just thought I'd give another update, since it almost the halfway mark. Treatment is moving along and side effects have not been terrible, hot flashes from the lupron, some diarrhea, & difficulty urinating (takes long time for stream).....and still gets up every hour on the hour during the night to pee. Doctor has changed him from Flomax to Rapaflo and that seems to be helping. Also his advice to stay away from fruits is helping with the diarrhea, as well as an immodium daily.
Diagnosed January 2012, Gleason 9 (5+4) treatment IMRT & HT.

    Thanks for the update.
    Do not forget of drinking lots of water one hour before each RT section. Also avoid any antioxidant supplement during the effective period of radiation (± three months).
