Martha, questions please
I know you used silvadene and I am as well for the open areas on my tailbone and gluteal folds. My question is that I notice that I seem to develope a pale greenish slime a few hours after applying the cream. Did you have this?
Thanks,
Randy

Hanging or should I say laying in theremp327 said:Hi Randy--
To be honest, I don't remember. I wonder if this could be because of dead skin sloughing off. Other than this, how are you doing?
Thanks for your response Martha.
Having rough time of it right now. Cant sit or stand for too long due to pain so mostly resting in bed. My open area at tailbone and around my anus bleeds alot when cleaning. Bowel movements burn but I believe due to the rawness in that area. Using the silvadene still but going to call Rad Onc tomorrow to see if I can get in to see her, my next appt isnt until Monday and I really want her to look at the areas to see if there isnt something I could be doing that would be better. Appetite is really good, staying away from greasy fibrous foods. Drinking lots of instant breakfast and taking stool softeners, now up to 6 per day as back on percocet and they tend to bind me up. I was hoping things would be healing faster but it is what it is. Supposed t return to work in 2 weeks but at this point not seeing that happen if I cant sit.
I hope youre doing well, I know youre training for your marathon, talk about a super hero!!!! youre definitely mine
Take care,

I'm so sorry you are in pain and I hope that your rad onc will see you tomorrow to give you some new meds to help with everything. I know it's miserable right now, but please hang in there. You never know, you might turn the corner tomorrow. That's what happened to me--one day I was still miserable, the next day feeling much better. I hope that will happen for you too. Don't put too much pressure on yourself to return to work at this point. Your healing has to be your top priority.
Thank you for your kind words to me. I'm really not a super hero--just one determined person!
Please keep us posted on what your doc says tomorrow. I wish you all the best and hope you get some relief very soon.0 -
