Have no idea what placebo composed of in this casepepebcn said:Don't understand statics , just one month of extra
survival compared to placebo? Do you understand it Steve ? Is this placebo another active drug or just water? i mean nothing .
but apparently nothing else available appears to help so any increase in survivability (same applies to Regorafenib, which also improved survival abit after all else failed to do so)is deemed significant, keeping in mind that some will do better and others worse..Are we just grasping at straws here?- i don't know0 -

I have a dumb question, when they say progression free survival....do they mean you are progression free while on the drug? Or do they mean you do a certain amount of treatments, stop the drug and measure progression from that time forward?0 -

Supposedly, your situation doesn't get worse but I don't every recall reading anywhere whether one remains in treatment or not.....Since the stuff in phase III trials probably hasn't been in use too long, I wonder for how long those taking such drugs are monitored? Maybe someone else can answer your question.....However "dumb" you think you are,how "dumber" am I without an answer?
I think the last addition to the FDA's CRC arsenal was in 1996......0 -

We all thank (or maybe curse)our doctors while forgetting all those in the trenches, including those participating in trials, whose conscientious efforts every now and then bring forth something that truly saves lives....Hoping thats the case here......Must be proud of her Phil.....0
