Decision made....oh what a relief

it is. Today was decision day, since my decision was going to be on how I felt about the radonc here. I am staying home for treatment! I took both my sisters with me, in case my decision making process might be bogged down by emotion...but all three of us walked out of the conference feeling confident in this guy...so we're on our way....finally!

Tomorrow I see the Oncologist...and treatments are tentatively set to begin the 16th. The exact timing will depend on what the Oncologist and the Rad-doc can come together with, as a plan.

Another bit of good news...I got the simulation, and my mask is made. It didn't freak me at all...I'm going to be ok on that front, I think.

Kent...I sat in that conference room with your list of questions in front of me...and asked them all...THANK YOU AGAIN!! :)

I feel so good now actually donning armor to prepare for the fight...I laid in bed this afternoon creating a scenerio for it in my head. The radiation is the armed front-line battle fighters, the chemo will be my legion of spys, assassins, and snipers...the sneaky killers. :)

    Let it begin...
    P-51,
Your right, let it begin. Those are your warriors that will be entering your bloodstream looking to destroy the nasty invaders. You WILL win this battle with the help of so many and move on to help others. My thoughts are with you and as a soon to be 21 year survivor I have great faith in positive thinking. Josh r.

    Plan in Action
Yea P51, sounds like we just need to get started to feel a little bit of control to better start dealing with this Beast. Im so happy to hear your upbeat comments/ like I said before its limbo that stinks. You give me hope knowing you and I are sitting pretty close on the Cancer Bus, since we both have recently had to join the community. I hope after this Thursday, I to will leave LIMBO behind and see where we go from there. So many people of this site have given me inspiration, but I think I just need to hear a Doctor tell me not about others they have treated but where do I stand, make sense?

P-51 has a nice ring to it...
    A P-51 is better than a B-52

    Phrannie-
Hope you'll let us know what their C&R plans are, in terms mostly of the Chemo regiment, and drugs. If you're comfortable with them- does go a long ways. Keeping it in the Positive is very important, as many have noted, here, and I am witness to. Josh is a 21-year Survivor, Phrannie, and he notes it, also. 21 YEARS! Very cool, I'd say.

    Makes sense Ditto....
It's so important to know we're not alone in this, but still...it's such a personal thing and a personal battle. Having our own battle plan gives us a little feeling the we have some control in a world that has turned upside down.

We're sitting right next to each other on this bus, my friend...in the scheme of things, a week or so isn't much.
