Glad the surgery went well
It is great to hear the surgeon feels positive about the surgery. Four hours is really a short surgery for an esophagectomy with gastric resection and pull up.
Be prepared to see lots of tubes and other medical devices attached to him when you see him in the morning. For the first few days in the hospital we measured my progress by how many tubes were still attached to me.
Now we hope for a good swallow test and pathology report.
Best Regards,

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance! -
Congratulations! Welcome to the Graduate class
Lynn,
So glad to hear the good news of a completed surgery and good margins. Hopeful for clean & clear nodes.
Paul is right - 4 hours is incredible for an MIE! I thought my husband was quick at 4 1/2 hours for the THE.
Enjoy roaming the halls. Prayers for healing and good news!
{Hugs}
