Teamwink--- time course pleaseteamwink said:not too bad
I had a tg reading that was similar - it actually was quite high after RAI, then it fell gradually after RAI over the subsequent year. I am hoping that it stays there, but it did eventually drop. Hope this eases your mind - I know this is all a bit scary!
What were your values before I131, and thereafter, and how long did it take to drop to its lowest value ? What was that lowest value ?0 -

Mine was undetectable at 6 months post RAI, if that helps. I don't have the data for the other values handy at the moment0 -

Thank you. Did you have it checked sooner than six months, or was six months the first time after rai 131 ? What value was deemed "undetectable". I mean was value is the lower limits of normal for that lab ?0 -

I did have it checked prior to 6 months, where it was elevated still - I was afraid it would never go down I think undetectable is the ideal, as that is where it should be but I'm not sure what my specific lab level is for that - maybe someone else may have advice on that level?0 -
levels
I was told that a level under 2 is what they want. Mine started at 175 and was 0.1 as of my last bloodwork. It took about 15 months I think.0 -

My TG was 80 pre thyroidectomy. Then dropped to 3.0 after surgery and up to 4.5 pre RAI. Post RAI it was 3.8 and now it's rising and is at 6.2. RAI was 6 months ago. My doctor seems concerned but I don't want to jump into more treatments. Any advice?

Hi - I am in the exact same situation - even our Tg's are about the same! But my last RAI was a year ago. My endo was concerned, despite all scans being clear. However my surgeon - whom I trust completely - simply suggested repeated tests and scans and taking it from there. He was fairly confident that I dont need to panic.
Will let you know what happens. any news on your side??0
