Hi John . Funny!
I imagine after a few of those the snake would "croak" .
Maybe these items will make the cookbook a best seller?
Rattlesnake
Frog
Dessert

Dear John,
Gee, I hate things like this. I know animals eat other animals. Whenever I watch tv, and a lion or whatever is after another meal, I change channels. LOL
What happened to the first frog? You didn't use it for bait, did you?? Don't tell me please.
Anyway, I hope you are well and enjoying your days. Love Maggie0 -

Hi Jim,
I made copies of all of the recipe's and put them in a cute cookbook of my own. It makes it a lot easier to get at them and I wanted to have all of them together in a place other than filed in my computer. With summer coming I have a few more of our favorite dishes to share, but just haven't got them posted yet, (but plan to soon). I've actually eaten rattlesnake and I'm not a huge fan, but I guess if I "had" to eat it again...(if I was lost in the woods and had nothing else to eat)..I would. It would be the "killing" of one that I'd have a major problem with....When I see a snake, I'm a screaming fool running fast in the opposite direction. My husband has always said I'd die forsure if one ever bit me because I'd be so hysterical that the venom would pump through me faster than he could save me! ha! I've eaten frog legs also, and those I do like! Hope all is good with you...Sue

Maggie,
I am an animal lover too. I did not use the frog as bait. I just put it in the bait bucket to keep it safe, then let it loose. When I catch fish I just throw them back. Thanks for the response all. John0 -

Dear John,
I know I go over Board. Since I love all animals, including the lions, tigers and the like.
I know they too must survive. I just don't want to see it.
Somehow I knew you were an animal lover also. Just wondering, did you ever see the documentary
about the very large lion that took care of a small helpless fawn? I believe it was on
PBS, or animal planet a few years ago. This lion kept the fawn safe from other lions and the
like. If I remember correctly, in the end, either the fawn died from not getting the correct
nurishment, such as mother's milk. This lion stayed by the fawn's side until the end. Then
just disappeared into the wilderness. Or did another lion come along???? Not sure.
Be Well, healthy and happy. Maggie0 -

Maggie,
I do watch PBS tv and have seen stories like that. I can't remember if I saw that one or not,but it does sound familiar. I do know I saw one where a lion was taking care of bear cubs awhile back. Then we have the advertisers that put things on tv about animal shelters and play the sad music so we will feel sorry for the animals and send them our life savings to rescue these animals. I do feel sorry for the animals. Its just I do not feel the money is going to where its supposed to be going. Too many scammers out there. So many have been exposed in the past few years. Do you remember years and years ago the one about the US Hope ship. Well it finally came out that it never existed. Nobody knows where the millions of dollars went,. It could (or would) not be traced. They got one on now about the Am.Vets and some country singer is the spokesman. Its a scam too. Messed up world isn't it? John0 -

Dear John,
I see you have not lost your sense of humor.
You are right on target about the commercials on TV regardomg all the shelter animals.
It makes me too sad to watch and listen to.. It's another channel changer.
There is one shelter I do subscribe to. Pet's Alive in upstate New York. They just
opened a shelter in Puerto Rico. No sense going into the horror's of Puerto Rico. Let's
not forget China.
Lately where I live, there are 2 ferral cats. Each day I leave food and water. I wish I
could trap them and have them at least spayed or nutered. But, as ferral cats do, they
won't let me go near them. Maybe in time??? We can do what we can do. One at a time at
least.
Messed of world, I agree. Greed is the word. Love Maggie0
