I get R-Chop every 3 weeks
Hi I had eight rounds of R-Chop and being tired is so very normal, you really have to listen to your body and rest when you need to, I was only able to work the first two weeks of treatment, then my counts got so low, it would have been a danger to be around people, my white counts made it to zero! Everyone does respond to treatment different..... Vinny0 -

Welcome to the group....
My chemo was much milder than the R-CHOP...I had CVP-R,but it still made me very tired! Chemo has a cumulative effect on our bodies and with each round we get more tired. My Onc said it can take up to a year or better before all of the rounds of chemo completely exit the body. It's been over a year for me and I'm only 60% back with my energy, but I'm on maint Rituxan, so I think it may be playing a part in my lower energy. I'm not nearly as tired as when I was doing treatment every 21 days, but I'm still not where I'd like to be. It will get better, just give it time and like Vinny said..."listen to your body" and don't over-do.
Best wishes...Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)0 -
TIRED AND MORE TIRED!!!!mnovs3 said:I get R-Chop every 3 weeks

I had R-CVP and not R-CHOP. I understand the R-CHOP is a bit more harsh than what I had. Still,I was worn out more and more after each treatment. I had 6 and by the 5 treatment it actually felt like I was dragged by a bus. I crossed the finish line on my knees. It does build up in your body with each session. Like the others have said you have to listen to your body and rest when its time to rest. Do not push yourself. It will get better with time. Again, like the others have said,we are all different in the way we react and we recover. Its all about time. John(FNHL-1-4A-5-10)0 -
Welcome
Welcome mnovs3. I agree with what everyone has posted.
I HAD Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma - stage II in my small intestines
and went through a very similar chemo regimen as you (R-EPOCH).
I asked my encologist about the fatigue early on and she stated the
fatigue would probably be worse as treatment progressed and it was.
I completed chemo about 5 months ago (October) and there are signs that
things are improving but I still nap during the day and just don't have
the energy I had long before the issue with cancer.
Like many have said, response can be very individual but don't be surprised
if it takes awhile after you've completed chemo. Listen to your body and
be especially good to yourself.
On the bright side, you are way past the halfway point and this cancer
is very treatable (high remission/cure rate)! As many have often said, just
take one day at a time, get through each phase of this. You have tons of
support here and you are welcome to vent/share any time any way.
Please keep us posted.
Hugs and positive thoughts,
Jim
DX: DLBL 4/2011, Chemo completed 10/2011, currently in remission.
