post kidney pain at 52 days

I finished my first week back at work. At day 52 post surgery I seem to be okay. I did get a bit more tired than usual at the end of the day and have been feeling more fatigued then I remember at work, but was doing everything as normal. Only thing that has me wondering, does anyone notice they can feel the kidney? I wouldnt say it was a bad pain more of just a feeling or slight twinges I get from time to time. Does anyone else get that? The feeling that it is there or more or a sore feeling just where the kidney is and then it goes away(my right side, had 40% taken out)? It is like a off and on feeling, comes and goes as it pleases. I also tired to jog a time bit, felt okay just way out of shape now. How long till people start regular work outs with weights and jogging or more intense workout classes? I think I am good, just like to know what everyone else opinion is.
Also has anyone done acupuncture? I tried it, but cant tell if it worked. Get ten appts this year with insurance so I will go a few more times. Wish everyone a happy weekend!

Aches and Pains
girlypants,
These aches and pains are normal and they very from person to person. I can not relate to a partial as mine was a full nepherectomy. Any particulary bad or unusual pain should be discussed with your doctor. Don't rush the body building. Do it as you feel comfortable. Your body just went thru major abdominal surgery. Give it time to heal. Six months from now you will hopefully be saying besides NED, NBD (no big deal).
Best wishes,

Post Op Pain
Is that pain or odd sensation deep inside or just underneath the incision region? That question is on the assumption that you had an open procedure. A lot of people, me included, have commented on a sensation of pressure pushing out in the incisional/healing ridge area - sometimes it is like little punches or kicks as if some little critter is trying to get out.I had my surgery last June (open partial but they only took about 10-15%)and I still get that sporadically. Could that be what you are feeling? If it's deeper and actual pain you should probably ask your doc about it.
I was pretty much pain free at 2-3 weeks and playing golf at about the 1 month mark; I was exercising aggressively at 6 weeks; and, I was starting back on weights (lower than before) at about 60 days. But you should get a doctor's clearance as it will depend on your individual condition. I also felt fatigue easier than before the surgery for about 4-5 months. Some people claim that it takes about a year to regain your strength after a major surgery like that.
