Maybe I am just too sensitive on the subject

I am fairly bothered by this. I am reading from people stating colonoscopies are more dangerous than they are beneficial. To which I am pretty sure I cannot agree considering Carl was days away from dying when he did his and he was 50. He had few to no real symptoms most could and were confused for other things and his labs looked normal. Had they not done the procedure he would have died not knowing what killed him.

its an international issue, disgrace
the waiting lists here are never ending.
you could be stage 3 when recommended for colonoscopy and stage 4 before you get scoped here.
if you have private insurance, its not so bad.
the best hope, we have is to push prevention.
the good old diet and exercise. it can help save some.
maybe then the public purse would not be so stretched.

An Ounce of Prevention
Is worth a Pound of Cure...
It's criminal that so many preventive screenings are under attack or are too costly/not covered so people have to choose between food or healthcare.
Too costly???
My cancer journey has probably cost $1,500,000 so far.
Funny, I often don't feel like a million bucks!0 -
with a bit of luck you might be the 6 million dollar manPhillieG said:An Ounce of Prevention

i never would have had need for this site......The major difficulty is the anesthesia....
For those with upcoming colonoscopies, ask/read about "Suprep Bowel Prep Kit"; you do half at night, the other half in the morning-found it easier than doing everything at night.....0 -

Last year's fight was right around $750,000 just by itself....overall, I'm pretty close if not over the $2 million mark and climbing....
has it been worth it?
