Diane (Songflower)
"Dear Friends,
I am sad to tell you that Diane passed away this evening (Sunday March 4) after a long and valiant battle with cancer. Funeral arrangements are pending. Please remember her in your prayers.
Jim"
All I can add is that Diane was a LADY. We joined this forum around the same time in 2009 with the same diagnosis of UPSC. She cared about all of us. She fought cancer with grace enduring some very rough treatments including HIPEC and recent lung repair surgery. She often wrote privately to me worried that posting on the board would scare some of us. She was very kind and thoughtful. I just knew her from online chats. We had a common love of kayaking and would talk of taking virtual trips together, buying ice cream cones at the Dairy Queen we constructed along the stream where we took our virtual trips.
I am very sad that we have lost this beautiful sister. She's up there with Linda now!!!

Saw this post with great
Saw this post with great sadness; another sister has left our earthbound fold. I joined not long after Diane but immediately related to her with our common history of breast cancer followed by UPSC. I was so impressed with the aggressive treatments she undertook and how well she persevered, recovered, and continued to live on and, then, able to enjoy her daughter's wedding last year despite treatments. She so enjoyed her family and, together, I'm sure they made wonderful memories that will live on in their hearts and minds, and eventually heal the hole her passing has made.

Sad, sad news
What can I add to that which has already been said by the ladies on this board.? Diane came across as a lovely lady, a fighter, who had grace and courage in the face of this wicked disease. I will miss her posts and the lovely picture of her.
May her family take comfort from knowing how much she was respected here. I hate it that cancer takes away such good people.
In my thoughts and prayers

DO NOT CRY AT MY GRAVE,
I AM NOT THERE,
I AM THE WIND THAT BLOWS,
IN THE MOVEMENT OF THE LEAVES ON THE TREES,
I AM THE SPARKLE OF THE STARS ON A DARK NIGHT,
AND IN THE RIPPLE OF THE MOVING WATERS,
DO NOT CRY AT MY GRAVE,
I AM NOT THERE...
I AM THE LAUGHTER OF CHILDREN,
AND THE COOLNESS OF A SUMMER RAIN,
SEE ME IN THE BEAUTY OF WILD FLOWERS,
AND THE CALMNESS OF THE DAWN,
DO NOT CRY AT MY GRAVE,
I AM NOT THERE...
MY SPIRIT SOARS IN A BETTER PLACE,
WHERE GOODNESS AND PEACEFULNESS LIVES,
I FEEL NO MORE PAIN,
I AM WITH MY CREATOR NOW,
I HAVE GONE HOME.
DO NOT CRY AT MY GRAVE,
I AM NOT THERE.

I read this post with the same deep sadness as others have. She was, indeed, a strong and courageous woman. Sending prayers of comfort to her family and all of you, too.

To her family, prayers and healing in this time. May your memories help you in this time of grief but know that she is at peace in the loving arms of our Lord.

I wish you comfort in your memories of Diane, who of course meant more to you than we can ever know. Thank you for letting us know of her passing. She fought so hard, wanting to be with you as long as she could. Would that you could have had her longer yet.
Peace,
