Jerry,
I'm hopeful that the mass will be unrelated. You've got a strong spirit and have taken your treatments so well.
Please know that you've got lots of support and prayers from here.
Love & Hugs to you and your family,
Terry
I'll be thinking about you and sending lots of prayers. Please keep us posted. ((hugs)) Kim0 -
Think positive thoughts
Jerry,
As everyone has said "waiting for results is the pits" it seems like it takes forever to get answers back. I hope they have good news for you on Friday and the mass is something other than EC. I will be praying and thinking positive thoughts in the mean time.
Best Regards,

Well,
We just got back from the hospital doing a biopsy too. Had low potassium and the did CT on adrenal gland and found spots on each kidney and one on adrenal glad. We should hear Monday they said.
You will be in our prayers Jerry, we know just how hard the waiting can be.
Godspeed,

Hi Jerry:
We'll be praying this is unrelated and a non-issue for you. On Don's report that was sent to the chemo and radiation oncologists, there was mention of a spot on the adrenal gland also - and like you, we are hoping this is nothing.
Please keep your chin up and know that we are sending you some positive mojo for good a report. Your surgery date is coming up soon although it probably seems a long ways away for you at times. The waiting is the pits - couldn't have said that better than Ginny did.
Best wishes,
Judy & Don0 -
best wishes and my prayers
best wishes and my prayers go out for you. If you need any information re: the UW or the Hutch or SCCA please let me know. I've just gotten done being a EC patient and having a transhiadial esophagectmy at the UW on Jan. 6 and am currently still recovering waiting to get back on the boats and to work. I know its scarey when you don't know where to go who to see or trust. I've been there and would love to be able to help in any way you need,

Who did your surgery, Dave? I'm scheduled with Dr. Oelschlager. I've heard good things about him.

Bad Stuff!
Got a call from the local oncologist. The needle biopsy of the left adrenal gland was positive. I didn't need that! So, tomorrow, I'm gonna call the surgeon and see what's up, and next week I meet with the oncologist.
Monday and Tuesday I'm going to be teaching an electrical class in Spokane. Why? I love to teach, and the money is very good.

Jerry,
I know that's not the news you wanted. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. I hope your docs have a good plan for you.

Jerry,
I was really hoping the news would be more positive. Hoping you will get a positive plan to move forward when you meet with the oncologist next week. In the mean time, I think you have the right idea. One day at a time doing the things you love.

Michael Mulligan at UW. He came highly recommended from multiple people in the medical community and from the Doc's at the barretts research program at the fred hutch/UW. He is a thoracic surgeon. I cant say enough good things about him and his team and the UW hospital nursing staff all world class!0 -

It's tough dealing with that kind of news. Praying the oncologists will say it's treatable.

Sorry for your news. This EC is so unpredictable. Praying for better news next week when you talk to your oncologist. Keeping busy is the best thing to do right now.

Well Jerry, that wasn't what you need at all. We'll be anxious to hear what the plan will be. Your spunk and attitude should have already ticked off this cancer enough to leave your body already. I know your surgery is scheduled for Friday the 2nd and we're wondering if that is still the plan.
We know you'll get back to us on this issue - but please know you are in our prayers and we ae sending you some positive mojo and vibes to grab on to.
Hugs to you jg

Well, Gonna meet with the oncologists (Seattle AND Wenatchee) and get a new plan. The surgery is DELAYED, but not cancelled (at least at this time). Fooo. I was afraid of that. I guess I'll find out this next week what we're gonna do.

Jerry,
You've got determination. EC will have to put up quite a battle to stop your forward progress. You keep swinging back. We've got faith!
Hugs and prayers coming your way,
