Get Jim's PET results tomorrow Please pray they are clear this time

    Well the tongue cancer and nodes in left neck are all clear, but, they found a node in the upper right lung that apparently was there last Pet but teeny tiny. It has grown but still is less than a milimeter. Doc says wait 3 months then CT with contrast.

    Not happy but we tell each other we will not stop living and planning the future because it is what it is. I just hope we can really believe this.

    assume you meant 1cm
    Imagine a lump shaped like a potato. Wider in some places than in others. Then imagine the CT scanner cutting "slices" through his anatomy, spaced about a centimeter apart. One time, the CT hits the wider part of the potato. The next time, maybe the narrower part. At the size we are discussing, the difference in size is a measurement problem. It does not represent an actual "growth" of the lump.

    This doesn't imply anything ominous. I've been through this myself, as have several other posters. Be of good cheer. Its all good.

    Pet Results
    Here's hoping and praying for good results for you tomorrow. Tomorrow is also a major day for me as I meet with my cancer doc to see what my full body CT scan results are. I will be hitting the anti-anxiety meds tonight and tomorrow for sure. Let's all have great scans and give Mr. Cancer a kick in the arse.

    Debbie, I read your post a couple of days ago and I just did not know what I might say that would be of comfort. Jim has been through so much, I pray God might bless him with a clean pet. I must say you are a GREAT caregiver, Jim has been so blessed to have you at his side. I will definitely say a prayer for Jim before I go to bed tonight. By the way, I love your dog! Homer
