Oh my gosh! My mom was on
Oh my gosh! My mom was on avastin....three treatments of it and it didn't work for her. I'm wondering if the ones administered for her were fake? That was back in Nov or Dec. Now she has passed. Will always miss and love her.0 -

I have heard of a lot of awful crimes but this is one of the worse. We are all already apprehensive as it is and now we have to worry if our chemo is legit, Hope they catch the rotten person,,hand him us cancer patients....val0 -
Makes me so mad
I had been on Avastin also. Didn't work and my tumors grew. I am another one wondering if I got the bad stuff. If they ever find out who was responsible, my punishment for them would be to have cancer injected into them. (I get really upset over stuff like this. Please forgive me. It is my anger coming out. I really don't want anyone having cancer.)

Well..
I hope no one here received the fake stuff. Here is a link that lists the bulk of the practices that received the bad stuff:

Most are located in So. California and Texas.0 -
THIS IS DESPICABLE!
These horrible people who are playing with people's lives. . . I just don't know what to say. May God forgive them.
For those of you who have been on Avastin, please get all the information you can regarding the lot numbers used for your treatment, etc. I know it is a long, exhausting process, but if there's even a slight chance you received this 'counterfeit' batch, you deserve to know. Just to think there are those out there who were told, 'Avastin just didn't work for you', or worse situations, makes me ill.
Sending hugs and prayers to all of you. I'm going to pass this article along to as many as I know. My sister-in-law's friend has been on Avastin for I believe breast cancer.

I am so sorry you lost your mom and I think you will always miss her and I know you will never stop loving her. I do hope her life was not cut short due to fake chemo medication but I would check into it.

This is scary
This is scary for me because I am currently on a clinical trial for Avastin. I've completed my 6 cycles with carbo/taxol/avastin and now doing maintenance with Avastin every 3 weeks until October 2012. My next treatment is on Tuesday, I will definitely be asking some questions.0 -

I would guess that you are on the real Avastin or you wouldn't be having all those side effects.
Welcome to the discussion board & congratulations on your remission.0 -
