Not yet. I see the new surgeon on Thursday. I just got the official word today, the cancer is back. I was told that they only way to treat it is by removing the voice box. I'm hoping this new surgeon can give me a couple options but we'll see. Didn't you have a lot of problems when you first got your trake? I'll keep you posted and thanks for the post.

She has a trache placed last October, and is still working out a few of the problems. She's here from time to time. If you want to email her directly, I can get you in touch. I think she's on her email most days. Debbie, I know a number of people with permanent tracheostomies. They do fine. Just do it one day at a time, and don't invite more trouble in than you need. You'll do fine too.
