Hope springs eternal
My Ca125 when I was diagnosed in January 2010 was 9824 or thereabouts.... today it is 11. I have survived the initial debulking and 6 rounds of carbo/ taxol. I was declared cancer free with a CA125 of 14 or so in August, 2010. Nine months later, I had a recurrence: brain mestasis. (hello stage IV). I survived brain surgery, whole brain radiation and gamma knife. By September 2011, I was pronounced cancer free.... again. Hope springs eternal...I have not given up hope on my goal of surviving for decades!
Love to all my old friends and extra hugs for the new names on this board. It sucks to have to be here, but on the other hand, the strength and spirit of the women on this board continue to bolster my hope and my heart.

Thank you all for your comments and support. I am humbled. The true heroines are Saundra, Dorian, Nancy, Bonnie, Kayandok, and the many teal warriors who have fought the battle much longer than I have, like LPack and HissyFitz.

I am always inspired by your great attitude, Leesa. I hope we are all sitting around 30 years from now, talking about how tough we are, 'cause we kicked cancer's butt. Talk about your steel magnolias!
By the way, you forgot to mention that you only missed - what? - one semester of teaching thru all this? And took care of a sick husband, at one point? Plus, dealing with the loss of your dad. I hope 2012 is your year, Leesa. You deserve a good one!
