Hey..... NED stopped by today!!! :)

YEP.... NED came calling today. God I love him!!! I have been holding off sharing my info until I had all the facts in. I had my 3rd recurrence in my right lung and completed my 3rd Cyberknife on Dec 31st. I had my CEA done 4 days after CK and it had gone up to 13 from 8. Doc said probably due to cancer cells dying off. I wasn't so sure and patiently waited for my next set of test which are now complete. Scans showed lungs ALL clear. A few nodules are there but don't light up. The Cyberknife was again 100% effective. I just got new CEA results and it is now 5.1!!! WOW! Lowest it's been in a long long time. Doc expects it to go even lower as he says there is no signs of any cancer anywhere!!! Music to my ears. I can finally breathe a sigh of relief and relax. I sure was in need of this "vacation" and I hope it lasts a while.

    I am on Vectibix which prevents new tumors from forming so ..no.. I will not take a break from that. That is fine with me because the Vectibix is not like chemo. Side effects are nothing for me (basically dry skin...no rash) so I will definately take this every day and twice on Sunday if necessary...LOL. Take care

    So glad NED is a friend of both of us, after multiple battles!

    It is bothersome when CEA first climbs from procedures, but so exciting when it comes back down! CELEBRATE!
