Diet question

Hi everyone,
I was trying to search the board for info, but it took a while to wade through everything so I thought I would just post this question to those of you who know this info. My dad is on the anti-dumping diet after his surgery. His home health nurse said to avoid foods with sorbitol and xylitol as an artificial sweetener. He wants pudding, and is supposed to have sugar-free pudding, but it all has one of those "bad" artifical sweeteners. Any diet ideas would be more than welcomed.
By the way, he had his whole stomach removed. His recovery is going almost flawless. It takes a lot of time and energy to make sure he's getting all his nutrients, but we are so happy with how things are going. I think everyone's prayers have worked!
