First flight tomorrow

Wow, got an unexpected 'emergency' trip for work dumped on me today and will fly for the first time since I have the stoma and port.
I hope Fort Lauderdale and Atlanta's TSA teams are not going to make this trip hell.
I have no idea what to expect and how to deal with it, so I am quite a little bit worked up about it.
Nothing compared to the pain of so many in this forum so i guess at this point I can only be thankful that my ride through the first 7 folfox rounds has been relativly bearable.

All the best to all of you,

Toddi

    Good luck
Carry extra supplys with you,you should be ok,but if they decide to check the bag, just hand it to them, and put on a new one. That's what I do if they try to get smart.Just stay calm.

    stoma and flying
never had an airport problem although they do act like they have never seen a colostomy bag before - just take lots of extra supplies

    If you have time....
Check with an agent beforehand---you may go through the priority line so they can have time to ooh and ahh over your devices.
Good advice here to bring extra everything, incl. a fresh change of clothes, just in case.
But, I'm glad you're going and not letting it hold you back. Life goes on....

Thank you all for the good
Thank you all for the good advice !
I took spares and I was prepared for the worst.

However,I have to say Fort Lauderdale was a breeze, they just sent me through the Metal detector and that was it.
Atlanta I requested a private patdown and they were very professional and courteous about it.
I am not normally a friend of TSA but this was great.

    Best health,
    Toddi
