Yervoy injections
I would like to hear from others who have been put on Yervoy, and how they experienced side effects.
I have "occult metastatic melanoma" stage 4, with a primary tumor in my esophagus.
I have had a course of chemo with Taxotere and Carboplatin, which stopped being effective, and was abandoned last week.
Yesterday I finished the last of 30 radiation treatments, aimed at the primary tumor.
I would like to hear from other Yervoy patients.

I too am slated to begin the Yervoy therapy and would like feedback on side effects. I have the melanoma on my heel, I already had one surgery and have developed new tumors. So far with God's grace the cancer has not spread anywhere else.
My husband has had his first dose of Yervoy 3 weeks ago. Only a little dry heaves. He is taking it in combination with Zelboraf and along with full brain radiation. THe radiation ended this past THursday. We were in the hospital this past week due to severe dehydration and diahrrea. Our doctor said he felt it was more from the Zelboraf than the Yervoy. Let me know how you are doing. My prayers are with you.0 -

I too received yervoy, but with no success. Had no side effects from it. Can't help but wonder that when you don't get side effects, is it working? I hope you had better results!
Thank you for your post....did you do all 4 rounds of Yervoy? How long ago? What are you doing now? We have 5 weeks to go before the 4 rounds are done and then I guess we will see what it has done or not done. I am just glad to have my husband they way he is right now. He was so very sick the week after Easter, I truly felt he would not make it. They postponed his Yervoy, he finished his radiation and took him off the Zelboraf and now he is much better. Still doesn't eat much...basically skin hanging on him...but he is aware of who he is, who I am and we are planning on moving...smaller, maintanance free place...and he laughs and we talk. I enjoy that. No idea what the future holds...just know I don't ever want him to be that sick again. Please keep in touch.0
