Pet Scan and MRI results!

Wow - I saw my surgeon and he gave me the results of the Pet Scan and MRI I had 12 days ago. They both showed the tumor had shrunk to less than half it's original size and that there seemed to be no viable activity in any of the cells. I am having a precautionary MRI tomorrow of my chest wall - he wants to be sure none of the cancer cells broke through the tumor site into my chest wall. Better safe than sorry. Saw the plastic surgeon today and he showed me how he will close the wound. I think I'll be okay with this. Maybe down the road I could consider reconstruction but not now - not the way they have to cut so far down my rib cage. The point is I love my life and will do whatever it takes to keep it.

I'll keep you posted. Thank you so very much for all your support!

Love,
Pam

Pam, I'm happy to hear your Pet Scan went well. By now, I hope you also received equally hopeful news from your MRI. Those tests are always tough to take. You are strong and determined, and I know you will do whatever it takes to keep on lovin' life! I'm right here fighting and surviving along with you. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
