I have been a Miami Dolphins fan all my life, this guy was great during his time with the team. He now faces the same opponent as we do.

Ain't that the truth! Thanks for flagging up such a great story.

After all his hospital visiting and charity work for cancer, no-one better deserved a lucky break. How amazing that it was while raising money for cancer work that he sensed something was wrong with him. He's obviously a truly great guy and a splendid role model.

I was cheered to hear about the golf because I'm 7 weeks odd post-op. and planning to play 3 rounds this week.

    Mark Duper
Mark Duper's tumor was the size of a football? That's a pretty big tumor considering the size of a football is about 56 cm. And a 95% chance that it has not spread? Doesn't sound right but I hope so for his sake.

    Size of tumour
I had the same thought Mike. However, a few weeks ago a golfing friend's wife had a 'football-sized' tumour removed - they had to remove 3 ribs to get it out. I wasn't told what sort it was but within a few weeks she was happily walking around the golf course!! She was unaware of it until her GP said she noticed a small lump and suggested a scan.

    Not the tumor
I wasn't surprised by the size of the tumor. I was surprised by the 95% chance of not having spread. If reported correctly, it seems overly optimistic.

    Prognosis
Agreed. I should have added that my friend's wife's prognosis was said to be good with no great anxiety about spread - amazed me (and I remain silently sceptical).
