    very tolerable
Andy on quite similar, if not the same, combo. The docs warned of all the side effects because they have to let you know, but Andy has only experienced mild nausea and achiness the first 3 days after treatment. The taxene drugs do cause hair loss but we can all put that in perspective quite easily in comparison to what's really important!

You guys are going to do great. What a wonderful daughter you are!

    I found it pretty tolerable
some nausea, which got a little worse each course. Lost my hair. No problems with labs or blood counts. I had a marvelous tumor response. My tumor began to change within 24 hours of receiving first course. By the third course it was no longer detectable on PET scan.

    Carboplatin
I had the carboplatin, it was very tolerable comparative... I also had cisplatin, taxotere and 5FU.

Out of all of those, the carboplatin seemed to render the less side effects. But then again, I was taking it every week with the 35 daily doses of rads.

The rads are rough, so it may have masked anything I was feeling from the carboplatin, LOL....

    Best,

Thanks Robin. Mild nausea should be easy i hope. The hair loss, i was telling my mom that it will grow back as soon as she finish the chemo. And yes, i will tell my mom to focus on our goal which is for her to get better.

My mom is a wonderful mother, and I am trying my best to be a good daughter. :)

Wow! I am so pleased to hear that you have a very good response to it. I am telling it to my mom and it brighten her day. She is looking forward for her first treatment on tuesday. And we are also praying that she will have clean PET scan soon.
