in Ovarian Cancer #1
I met with the nurse from Pallative nurse today and she has already gave me the name of a new pain doctor who specializes in cancer pain. I finally feel like someone is listening to me I am really hoping this works out. I meet with the new doctor on the 31st and already talking about taking me off of the morphine and starting me on the patch. I am glad I am with the program at first I thought WAIT they are a part of hospis of the valley and I did not want to have them because it ment I was dieing. The takin in nurse I met lat week said no they do that but I am not one who is on deaths door. They are hear just to help me get a plan togeather and give me names of people who can help so I can emporve my out look. Right now I feel like I have no quality of life because I go no were do to the pain, so our goal is to get the pain under control so that I can start to move around like taking my dog for a walk. I really like this nurse I already feel like she understands what I am going through.

    I am so glad you on the way to getting relief
    from your pain. It is also great that you feel a connection with the nurse. I think it helps so much when you feel someone is listening and as you say seems to really understand your situation.

    I hope you and your furry friend are soon able to get out and enjoy a little fresh air.

    oh same here and my furry
    oh same here and my furry little friend (Molly Mae) will enjoy going for walks with me right now my dad is taking her and she love here walks so I can't wait until I get to do it.

    I just went thru several weeks of feeling crabby & depressed--ugh! Somehow, my mood eventually improved. I sure hope you get brighter days soon.
