prayers for Jim update
Jim's surgery was a success, Thank you Lord! He is home and only has a little pain in his stomach, although still sleeping alot. He has not needed pain meds since leaving the hospital. Doctor said he would regain his balance and mental function over the next few weeks. He is so looking forward to fishing.
Thanks again for the prayers and offer of help. God bless you all.
Debbie
Haven't posted in awhile. Been really stressed about Jim's surgery date. They finally scheduled it for Monday, Jan.23rd at noon. Two surgeons will do the surgery. One to put the stint in the brain and another to run the tube inside to his stomach to drain the fluid. Please pray all goes well for him. His PET is coming up in February as well. If you remember it was not clear so that is adding to the stress.
Please pray for me as well. I do not feel as confident and sure about this as I did the cancer treatment and survival. I guess because it is the brain they are cutting on. I am having trouble sleeping and focusing. I ran out of my Abien and can't afford more. Guess I will try TYLENOL PM. Can't seem to accomplish much. Am eating bad again which doesn't help with the sleep and energy. I will be glad when next Monday is behind us. Jim having a real hard time walking and his mind is getting real bad. He can't wait to be able to function and remember again.
Sorry for running on. Thanks for all the prayers.
Debbie

Debbie,
You and Jim are on my prayer list too. My insurance doesn't cover my Ambien but CVS pharmacy has a program for those w/o it and 30 pills only cost me $8.46 (approx). That's cheaper than my insurance. Maybe they can do the same for you?
Sleep for you is essential for your mental state. I pray you will be able to find a solution to your Ambien problem soon.

and so are you. I've seen a number of these done. I'm still predicting great results for you guys. Its a shame it has taken so long for the fix to get here.

Prayers as Always
Debbie:
First, please don't apologize for running on. You know all of us here are here to listen no matter how long the post may be. Will be praying for Jim and the surgeons and you. I so know how you feel although Charlie never had any surgery except for the feeding tube. Let as know as soon as you can and will be praying without ceasing and at noon on Monday! Good luck and God Bless!

hang in there
This is a tough road and I am sorry you have to go through it. I know if you can get better sleep you will cope better. We caregivers have to stay rested to deal with the stress. Will pray for a successful outcome. Meanwhile, breathe...try to stay busy...distractions help. You are not alone!

Jim and Debbie
Lifting you up in prayer and will do so on Monday, as well.0 -
Hurry, Monday
Debbie,
Hoping for good results for you and Jim. In my opinion, it's easy to see how you could become stressed out and lose some hope. It's hard to be hit with another whammy when you think you're at a point when things will be improving. Hoping the surgery is boring, and recovery smooth.0 -

Hi Debbie, Sorry to hear
Hi Debbie, Sorry to hear yours & Jim's fight is ongoing. I will definitely say a prayer for Jim, after all it is truly up to God. If you need Ambien to get some much needed rest, just private message me and I could call your pharmacy with my credit card info as I know how it is to be broke. It would be my pleasure to do this! We wish you both the Best, Homer & Connie0 -

Homer & Connie... I had the same idea so I had sent a PM to Debbie a few days ago. I wanted to help her to pay for the ambien, but I didn't hear anything back. Jim's surgery was scheduled for yesterday, Jan 23, but I haven' heard anything. I know how much I appreciated my caregiver hubby, so I wanted to help them out a little bit. Hopefully we hear something soon about how the surgery went.0 -

Thank you for the offer of help with abien. I am overwhelmed by all those who offered to help. My father whom I reconciled with a few years ago, long story, sent me some money. But I am so grateful for the offer.
God Bless you,

Most pharmacies have programs to get medications. I personally dislike Ambien & take Lunesta which can end up being free with coupons. Go to the lunesta site & sign up. Ambien may also have a similar cost card.
Next it could also be hormones; when I turned 46 I started having sleep issues & started taking melatonin 5mg fast dissolve "eggs" from natures bounty- if 1 doesn't work; take 2; it's natural & may take a few weeks to build back up in your system. Walgreens usually has a buy 1 get one 1/2 off. Next is Estroven night time which I get from Walmart; that replaces estrogen in your body.
Unisom sleep gels also work good.0
