My husband lost his battle with cancer

After almost two years of posting on this site I am so sad to be moving on to be a part of another group. My husband lost his battle with cancer yesterday morning. I am forever proud of his determination and bravery for trying to stay with us longer. But sadly he has left us too soon and too young. I will not share our 40th anniversary with him in april and he will not be walking our youngest daughter down the isle in August, nor will he ever get to meet his future grandchildren or take them fishing. My heart is broken and I am worn down from having watched him deteriorate. I don't know how I will get along without him. He has been my life since the age of 17!!!

Your Loss....
Sue, I am so sad to hear of your loss, I have followed your post with much interest as your husbands story and mine were so similar in nature. I am saddened to see this post, you both tried so hard to get answers and solutions and bravely faced each obstacle placed before you. He fought a brave and valiant fight and you both are in my prayers. I hope the days ahead are filled with those fond memories of better times, together. He is at peace.0 -
I am so sorry
Sue, I just joined this site this morning. We lost my dad to liver cancer on November 3rd, 2011. It is the hardest thing our family has ever gone through. He was 62 yrs old & he & my mom were married 40 yrs. I am with my mom everyday & we are struggling. That is why I joined this site. I am also looking into volunteering for cancer patients but I'm barely getting info on this. Again, I am so sorry.0 -
so sorry for you loss
I had a rush of all these same emotions over the past month when my husbands colorectal cancer from 1 1/2 yrs was now said to be in his liver. We are currently in icu going on our 4th night and no real answers as to what is going on. They said to have gotten it but other things are going on. reading this I just wanted you to know you are not alone in those emotions I feel like at dx I did that grieving part over those very things and now not knowing what is going on is making me sick to my stomach. I am trying to stay strong as I am sure it is what you were doing for your 2 yrs. He is no longer in pain so many hugs to you, prayers for peace and to remember the good times that you did get.
