Got scoped yesterday...no sign of nothing. NPC

Well this is my second check up since treatment and my Onco is still pretty proud of herself and how she nailed my tumor. She said its all gone, I am good to go.It was a pretty big one,lol

It was tough and it is still tough. Everyday I wake up and think about this thing in one form or another.I wake up in the middle of the night sometimes on the verge of a breakdown...thank god for lorazepam.lol

Life does promise to be a lot more intense in flavor as I heal and decide what I am going to do with the rest of the time I have.

    Be kind to YOU!
You have been through so much. Neither the physical nor the emotional pain goes away right off. Know that you have been given the ability to go on...small steps work much better at first. Whatever you feel/think is fine, right. As the days go on, so will you! Way to go!

Congrats to you Kyle! Stay positive and believe!! I am 9 months post treatment and scoped every month and docs are confident it is not returning. Will be having second Petscan this month.
Word of advise on the lorazapam. when the time comes, be sure you wean off at 10% each week, as I hadn't and it really screwed up my sleep pattern (had insomnia) for a very long time.

Only the very best wishes sent to you

    Hi Kyle

Congratulations on the NED report. Just to give you a heads-up on the Jaw after a few years it will start to close up a little more each year so keep it moving as much as possible and stretch it as wide as you can five or six times a day.

    Blessing to you my friend

    Great news
I sure understand the committee in your head telling you bad things. I have been out of treatment for over a year (almost 13 months) and I go for my PET scan next Thursday. Most days and nights I go about my life pretty happy and then it will hit me I HAD CANCER and it was Stage 4......canker sore? Is it cancer? I think most of us will deal with those negative thoughts as long as we live.
I know my plan for the rest of my life is to follow my bliss.....and for me that is more live rock n roll shows. I travel about 70 miles to a place where I can meet the bands, hang out and take photos. I have met some great friends thru the past 11 years of me going there and my dream to is to retire in 3 years and move to Cleveland. (Hey we all have our dreams!)
I also spend alot of time volunteering for a local food movement in my small town and seeing as many old friends as I can.
Cancer doesn't mean the end of your life; but we do find a new normal.
Be sure to take good care of yourself, do your jaw exercises like Honda says and hope we get nothing but NED news from you!!!
    Peace,
    Nancy aka toughcookie
