On The Road Again

Hi all:
In just a few hours I'll be on the road again. Headed to G'burg with friends for a week! I have to leave my babies here though and I hate that! Hope everyone's first week of new year has been good. Have a prayer request. My sister's best friends are two people she went to high school with and she's known Martha since 8th grade. Fred (Martha's husband) has been diagnosed with cancer. It's just below the where neck joins chest. Anyway, long story short he had a knot pop up and grew quickly and went to dermotologist (he's had several skin cancers) and they biopsied it and it is some form of fast growing cancer but don't know if it's in lymph nodes yet or not. Will find out more later. Supposedly it's not fast spreading. Anyway it's bigger than they thought and I think he will see a surgeon about removing it and the dermo said didn't think chemo and rad would be necessary. Now I'm no doctor but I do remember when Charlie was first diagnosed, the ENT told him he was out of his league and needed to see his buddy down the hall which was the oncologist. Also, Charlie's ENT told him he'd probably have to have some chemo or rad. or maybe a combo of both which is what he had. Personally, I'd rather have an oncologist tell me no chemo/rad was necessary but that's just me. Anyway, these people are very special to me as I've known them all my life and they are so very good to my sister. Fred is 73. Please keep them in your prayers and I will let you know as I find out more. Take care gotta run, get the doggies out and fed, paper read, packing finished and hit the road. God Bless!
