Pray for ray, he had his new chemo today and so far so good. He lost 4 pounds since last week. His blood counts were really good. He feels good right now, keep praying (Kathy)

UPDATE:1-7-12 The chemo he is now on is F5u and Oxaliplatin
Today Jr. is so very sick, threw up what little he has in him and his pain has increased.

The oncologist told him he believes this chemo treatment will put this cancer into remission.
I'm just wondering if he will be able to survive this stuff for 6 weeks!!
He already keeps losing weight, give me a break here how much more can he throw up.
Sorry just feeling frustrated.

I know this was Jr.'s decision to go for the chemo but I can't fault him.
He's just trying to have another day. I do wonder about this oncologist who keeps building up Jr's hopes.
Just pray it isn't false hope.

UPDATE:1-10-12 JR. got pretty sick Saturday but as of today he feels better. He is still gagging up a lot of phlegm.
He goes tomorrow (Lord's willing) for his second chemo treatment. After tomorrow he will have 4 more to go. Thank you for your prayers.

Glad you can see it. It
Glad you can see it. It won't show on my screen. Keeps showing the bridge.

Yes. I agree with you--definitely too young for that brood. :)

This is 6 of our 8 grandchildren and one of our daughter-in-laws with Bill during our Christmas trip this year. You can see, small though the picture is, that Bill is having more fun than anyone.

Hope you, Loretta, and your family are well.

Pray for ray, so far so good, he is handling this chemo better. I got him a chocolate cake he had an urge for..he hasn't really had urges for food lately so I was glad he wanted this..yesterday he ate his favorite grilled cheese with 3 different cheeses, it was always his favorite and he wanted it..last time he wanted this was before June. So glad he gets hungry now. Try it ,velveeta cheese, super sharp cheddar, and american, it's really good. Keep praying.

I just praise God for this. Yes, I know he is taking chemo and many would say what does God have to do with it but I have seen many on here who took the chemo and just did not respond to it so I thank God that Jr has responded to the chemo, he is able to spend time with his family.
Don't know how this round of chemo treatments will do but as of tonight as you can read what Kathy posted he is eating!!!
I just have to praise God for this!!
I wanted Jr to not take chemo because of all the bad side effects but it was his choice to make,. I still hate the thought of him on that poison but it was his only option medically and he took it. God has helped him through each treatment.
Prayer is powerful, I pray for each of you.
All I know is when it's all said and done God is there, He will never leave us or forsake us.
Thank you all for praying for my brother. You may not realize how much your prayers matter but they matter so much and are so appreciated.

We just never know how folks
We just never know how folks will tolerate their particular chemo cocktail Mom is off chemo and rads for 30 days, but she is still throwing up. I think though that it's because she takes meds on an empty stomach. Then wants coffee instead of food. Up it all comes.

I hope each day gets better for you!

I bet it is because she takes them on an empty tummy. I have been prescribed Oxycontin (sp?) a couple of times. First time it made me sick as a dog and i swore I would never take it again. The last time. Bill made sure I ate first and had no problems. Even the daily antibiotic I take for rosacea will make me nauseous if I take it on an empty tummy. Hope you can convince her to try eating first.
