Welcome Sharon
Hey Sharon, feel better and feel welcome here. This is a survivor board and we're all here to help you, whatever phase you're in. I'm guessing you have been diagnosed with cancer, not "c", or "ca"--no offense; but cancer. It can be beaten. The newest treatments are less and less invasive with less and less drawbacks. Everyone here is in your boat or helping those who are. Hope we can offer you support and information.
best, Hal0 -
Welcome!
Welcome aboard, Sharon! As you note yourself, it's a crummy club due to membership requirements, but I can assure you, as Hal exemplifies, that the members are wonderful folks, typically kind, gentle, knowledgeable, and supportive.
If you have questions, do not hesitate to ask them. Someone is bound to have had some sort of similar experience, if not exactly the same. It is helpful, of course, if you provide as much information about your status (or the status of your loved one) as you can, so that people can have as clear a picture as possible of where you are coming from.
Again, welcome, and take care,
Joe0 -
echo the above
Welcome to the board. If you get the time, fill out the bio section. That makes it easier to see where you've been, and where you're headed.

You have found many friends on this site. My husband was stage 4 tongue cancer and we were SCARED also. then I found this wonderful site with people that have gone through it and they helped us every step of the way. There was never a day that I didnt check in to see how and what everyone else was doing. There are many like Sweet, Skiffin, Hondo , Dr. Mary and many more that have been through it and if they cant answer your question right then , I swear they research somewhere and will come up with an answer. I could'nt have helped my sweetheart without them.

Welcome to the spot that will give you answers and hope. I joined here 21 months ago as treatment started and got more answers here than from my Dr's. You will have many CSN friends here to give you assistance through your treatment. Come on any time and be assured that we all know that feeling of lonliness and fear....we have all been there.
best of luck to you

Wow. For so many of us, if the medical issues weren't enough, we get to add the overwhelming social issues ito the pot and stir. Have you joined SPOHNC? If there's a local chapter, that would likley be worth your time. Please come often and post at this board. Helping others is a great diversion.sharonwright said:thankyou

Welcome
Hi Sharon,
Welcome to the site. I joined 2 days after being diagnosed back in April of 2011 and was sooooo glad to have found this place in cyberspace. You will get better advice here for most things (that your medical folks cannot give you answers for) than anywhere else. Again, good to have you here.
