Need Suggestions for Neuropathy Relief

I have had 14 rounds of taxol, 4 rounds of Taxotere and 18 rounds of Carbo over the last 8 years and I am finally feeling the effects of neuropathy. It is suttle and comes and goes. Mostly in my hands, but sometimes in my feet too. Cold weather definitely makes it worse. What are you taking to prevent the further effects of neuropathy? I just started taking lipoic acid (200mg) and Metanyx (a form of B-12). I had been doing injections, but switched to a newer type in pill form.

Neuropathy
I have neuropathy in feet from taxol. I take neurotin, 300 mg. 3X a day, b6 every day and alpha lipoic acid, 200 mg. 3X a day. It does not get rid of it but it helps alot. Ask your doctor about neurotin. It can make some people drowsy but I don't have any problem with it.

I feel so great in the waterDebbyB said:I started going to water
I started going to water aerobics and WOW does it help. I can get the movement I need to heal and I can do it without putting my full weight on my feet.
too! I took a whole day yesterday to play at the pool and sit in the "onsen" (hot springs tub) with my daughter. What a difference in my feet at the end of the day! I wish I could go every day.
I use lyrica (used primarily with diabetic patients with neuropathy) on days I really need to get something done and have to push myself. It numbs the discomfort/pain and my feet lighten up, as opposed to feeling like cement. I choose not to use it every day, because of side effects) but all I can say is, "WOW!", for the days I use it and am so productive.
I haven't found that B6 or any of the other things I have tried makes any difference in healing the neuropathy. What I need is a year off from chemo.
