information leak
I have discovered something quite by accident. I was fooling around with the computer and typed in my email address. Up came posts i had made on this site. Now I know when someone is in the site they can read them. but my family does not come here so i can vent ad not worry about them seeing it. lo and behold there was my post about cea rising. was everyone aware of this, i am so upset. anyone know how to prevent???

If you post online, it's there for everyone to find. There is NO Privacy when it boils down to it. I am a bit surprised that things came up in a search from your email because mine doesn't but it does show posts under my user name, Phillieg.
The only way to prevent it is to assume a new identity with a new email etc.
Just checked my profile page. As far as email goes, it says "The e-mail address is not made public and will only be used if you wish to receive a new password or wish to receive certain news or notifications by e-mail." so I'm wondering why this is happening. Does it list every post you've made or only posts where you posted your email?

Are you referring to the Personal Messaging system (PM) here?
By typing your "name" jjaj133 in Google, it will return all entries
into anyplace you've used that moniker, but your Email address
(jjaj133@........) is not involved in that, unless you've added it
directly and manually to any post.
Google's algorithm manages to retain words of any posted text,
and it will return that posted data if one searches using that
specific keyword (jjaj133).
So, if you're referring to the PM system, there's nothing that
can be done to prevent that, but really.... who knows you by
the moniker you use here?
Actual Email address's (I.E. jjaj133@....) are usually protected
from search engine robots, but if you've posted the email address
anywhere on the web, it'll be in the public domain.
Ain't nuttin' sacred about the WWW! It's just a big "party-line"
that everyone, everywhere has access to. And once it's "out there",
it's out there forever!
If you really want to see scary #$%^&, go here and poke
around: The Wayback Machine
It's comforting to know..... that long after I'm gone, something
I've typed somewhere will continue to P someone off.
Best of health to you,
